Daniel Morris, age 67, of Penn Yan, NY entered unto rest peacefully on October 30th, 2021 in his home with his loved ones at his side. Daniel was born in 1954 to the parents of Leadley and Catherine Morris. Daniel was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy. Shortly after graduating high school Daniel began his long-term career as an electrician at Coach & Equipment. Daniel was a multi faceted maverick and Jack of All Trades. He enjoyed collecting unique musical clocks, tiffany lamps, and gnomes. He spent his free time working on cars, gardening, camping and spending time with family. Dan also loved walking his fur baby Abby and teaching his two african grey parrots new sayings. Daniel lived with a rare illness the last three years of his life. He battled the illness with the most amazing grace, bravery and determination not to let the illness keep him from doing what he loved. Daniel was the kind of guy that showed up when it mattered, had your back, gave to those in need, and would defend and stand up for his loved ones should the need arise. Dan is now at peace joining his parents, Leadley and Catherine Morris, and his brother Thomas Morris. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Morris. His children Daniel J. Morris (Patsy), David J. Morris (Jackie), Heather M. Morris (Brett), Jennifer L. Spears (William) and John J. Morris (Katy), and his brother, Francis R. Morris. Daniel also leaves behind his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Daniel leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. Because Dan celebrated life each day, no formal funeral service is being planned, instead, he wished to be honored by having everyone that knew him celebrate the good memories you have of him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either: Cure PSP, 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001 or online at PSP.org/Iwanttohelp/ways-to-give.
