Glenn A. Andersen, Jr., age 85, of Penn Yan, NY entered unto rest in his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 4, 2022. Glenn was born in Penn Yan on January 16th, 1937, the son of the late Glenn A. and Ellen M. Andersen. He graduted from Penn Yan Academy Class of 1955. He served in the US Army 328th Engineers from 1955 to 1962. Glenn was a lifelong farmer and retired in 2002. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Penn Yan and a life member of the Penn Yan Elks Club, Moose Club, and Benton Fire Department. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Elaine M. Brunskill Andersen; daughters, Ginger (Robert) Bell of Penn Yan, Penny (Harry) Lewis of Himrod, Amy Andersen of Penn Yan, and Leslee (Darryl) White of Geneva; step-daughter, Lisa (Stephen) Chisom of Dundee; step-son, William (Nicole) Schuler of Shortsville; fourteen grandchildren, Mackensie (Joshua) Sheldon, Sadie (Gary Ange) Lewis, Jacob (Ellana Pielow) Corcoran, Robert Bell, Perry (Brittany Leiter) Lewis, Kyle (Shanna) White, Emily White, Shawn (Chelsea Lead) Mashewske, Benjamin (Shannon) Bennett, Nathan (Sadie McCray Sgro) Schuler, Tyler Schuler, Keira Schuler, Logan Schuler, and Abby Nilan; four great grandchildren, Daisy May Lewis, Kinsley Mashewske, Wyatt Bennett and Gianna Chisom; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his son, Glenn A. Andersen III; brother, Gordon Andersen; and sisters, June Paulsen and Elizabeth "Betty" Bush. A private service celebrating his life and burial at Benton Cemetery with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of his family.
