Obituary of Glenda E. Majchrzak

Please share a memory of Glenda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Glenda “Glenny” E. Majchrzak, Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother (to her furry family), and an angel to all, passed away at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan, NY, on Saturday September 3, 2022, with her sister by her side. Glenda was born on May 11, 1967, and enjoyed her childhood growing up in Hilton, NY, with her family. As a child, she camped a lot and channeled her inner “Tom boy”; she wasn’t afraid to get dirty, grab frogs, insects, and investigate nature. After graduating from Hilton Central HS in 1985, Glenda acquired her AAS degree in travel and tourism. She moved around until finding her space in Penn Yan, where she resided contentedly for her final 25 years of life. Glenda loved nature and took time to contribute everything she could to assure the gardens were tended, the birds and small animals were fed and took her nurturing to a level unmatched by anyone. Not only did she care for nature, she graciously gave everything she had to those around her…Whether it was a hand-crafted card, a painting, a small “trinket” from the local store, coloring books and crayons, Glenda reached the lives of many and spread unconditional love to all. She (somehow) remembered everyone’s birthday and mailed birthday cards out on time. It was not unlike Glenda to show up on your doorstep at any moment to give you a donut or a hug when needed the most. Glenda’s unconditional love emanated into every breath of life she lived. We will all miss her phone calls and vivacious, energetic, giving personality. Glenda is survived by her parents David (Pat) Majchrzak, Nancy Majchrzak (Parmer), her brother, Gary Majchrzak, sister, Lisa Kelly (Majchrzak), her nephews, Eric Majchrzak, Matthew Majchrzak, SSgt USMC Brad Majchrzak, and nieces, Samantha Majchrzak and Rachel Kelly, and two of her cats, she called her “children”, Simon and Selubria. Family and friends are invited to join Glenda's celebration of life, in person, on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 12 to 2:00 PM.
