Norman A. (Jack) Snow, 90 years old, of Penn Yan, NY entered into eternal rest to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at home with family by his side. Jack was born in Waterloo, NY, January 18th, 1932 to Bernard and Effie May Snow. Jack graduated from Geneva High School in 1949. He married the love of his life Karen McCaig on July 10th, 1954 in Hall, NY. Jack farmed in the Town of Geneva with his father and brothers until health issues forced him to seek other means of employment. He and Karen owned and operated the Penn Yan Farm Supply-True Value Hardware from 1972 to 1994. Their children were always involved in the business. Jack was very supportive of the Community and he enjoyed his 3 decades which he served for the Town of Milo as a Board member, Deputy Supervisor and Supervisor. In retirement, for several years he enjoyed preparing income taxes for the AARP. Jack was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Penn Yan and most recently attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Penn Yan. With his membership in the First Presbyterian Church he served on the Administrative Boards, was a Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. Jack was a member of the Shrine Club of Rochester, Lions Club of Penn Yan, Penn Yan Moose Club, Penn Yan Elks Club, formerly a member of the Penn Yan Fire Dept., and Lakeside Country Club. Jack is survived by his wife of 68 years, Karen McCaig Snow, daughter Vickie Lynn (Roy) Voak, brothers, Donald and Gerald Snow, grandchildren Scott (Morgan Andrews) Voak and Stephanie (Bradley) Catlin, Special niece, Darolyn (Tim) Fischer, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Mother and Father-in-law Glenn and Charlotte McCaig, his son Norm, Jr. 1989, brother Bill Snow 2016, brothers-in-law, Donald McCaig 2003 and Robert McCaig 2022, and his beautiful dog and walking companion GINGER on September 9, 2022. Family and friends may call from 4 pm to 5 pm on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 at Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527. A memorial service will follow at 5 pm with Elaine Gleason officiating. Interment at Little Church Cemetery in Stanley, NY will be held at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, Penn Yan Lions Club, St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the Penn Yan Fire Dept.
