Obituary of Doug Braman
Douglas M. Braman, age 66, of Penn Yan, New York passed away on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Doug was born in Penn Yan on December 7th, 1955, the son of the late Elford and June Braman. He served in the US Air Force from 1974 to 1976. He married Darlene Stokoe in Penn Yan on April 28th, 1979. Doug worked as a NYSEG Lineman for 32 years until his retirement in 2012. An avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, Doug was a Life Member of the Seneca Duck Hunters Club and a member of the Lyons Rod and Gun Club, the Penn Yan Moose Club, and the Penn Yan American Legion Post 355
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene (Stokoe) Braman; sons Justin and Jason(Jill) Braman; brothers Brad (LeeAnn) Braman, Kyle Braman (Ralph Padilla), and Neal (Amy) Braman; brothers-in-law Mark (Colleen) Stokoe and Glenn Applebee; grandchildren Rosalie, Nora, and Joanna Braman; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his great nephew Weston Runions; father-in-law Bill Stokoe; and sister-in-law Deb Applebee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Club on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 from 12 Noon to 3pm. We wish to extend our appreciation to our family and friends for their love and support.
