Obituary of Patricia H. Knapp

Patricia H. Knapp, 83, died at home on Oct. 17, 2024. Daughter of the late John E. Horrigan Sr and Margaret McGrath; Wife of the late Roger W. Knapp; Mother of Melinda A. Knapp (Mark Yeckley) and Pamela (Lynn) Simmons and her furbabies Daisy Mae and Jingles; Grandmother of the late Jonathan Charles Knapp; Sister of the late Mary Horrigan, James D. (Elizabeth and the late Margaret) Horrigan, the late Anne Horrigan, the late John (Ceil) Horrigan and Michael (Cynthia) Horrigan; Aunt of James D. (Suzanne) Horrigan, Thomas (Terri) Horrigan, Kathleen (Michael) Emery and Rebecca (Darren) Gold.

Pat taught in the Buffalo Public Schools (#60, #63) for 33 years. Upon her retirement in 1996, she and her husband Roger relocated to Penn Yan. Pat loved to spend time on her front porch, and in the orchard picking cherries, apples and peaches. She loved to read and spent many years volunteering at the Dundee Library and the Modeste Bedient Memorial Library. She was always up for shopping, and especially loved her mother-daughter shopping trips to the local malls and outlets.

Family and Friends may call from 4 PM to 7PM on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St, Penn Yan, NY 14527. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 at 10AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 312 Liberty St. Penn Yan, NY 14527.
