Obituary of Elizabeth G. "Betti" Porter

Elizabeth "Betti" (Stevens) Porter, age 94, of Interlaken, NY passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Geneva General Hospital. Betti was born on December 23, 1930 in Dunkirk, NY to the late Edward Weller Stevens of Ovid, NY and Harriet Clair (Mason) Coryell of Fredonia, NY. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Gary Porter (2019), whom she married on September 22, 1990 in Ovid, NY. Betti is also predeceased by daughter Kathleen Ori of Skokie, IL (1987); brother Edward Stevens of Saint Charles, IL (2022); and nephew Matthew Stevens of Saint Charles, IL (2007). Betti is survived by sons Steven (Rose) VanEpps of North Las Vegas, NV and James (Helen) Van Epps of Kitty Hawk, NC; stepson Doug (Myrna ) Porter of Bath, NY and his children Annie, Cher and Vanessa; stepdaughter Carrie (Nicole) Potts-Porter of Waterloo, NY and her son Henry; sister-in-law Mary Stevens of Genoa, IL; nephew Mark Stevens of Genoa , IL; and niece Marla Stevens of Kenosha, WI. Services will be held later in the spring, with burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan, NY.
