Obituary of Phillip James Ingalls

Phillip James Ingalls, tragically passed away at home on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was born in Canandaigua, NY on May 11, 2024.

Although Phillip was only a year old, his character was evident on a daily basis that showed his unique ability to love and be loved. Phillip was a happy child that loved to laugh and was curious of the world around him. As a son, brother, and grandson, his absence will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his parents, Trinity Rood and David Ingalls of Penn Yan; two sisters, Charlotte Rood and Anneliese Rood of Penn Yan; paternal grandparents, Cate and Gary Ingalls and Debbie and Dru Range; maternal grandparents, Kymmberlie Watts of Penn Yan, David Rood of Robbins, TN, Heather (Jeff Grapes) of N. Tonawanda; paternal great grandparents, Donnie Rast, Cecelia Hand and Robbin Ferrell; maternal great grandparents, Tom Rood, and Jean Watts of Himrod, NY; and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Phillip was predeceased by his grandmother, Kathy Rood; great grandfather, James Watts; great grandmother, Kathleen Rood; uncles, James Ingalls, Jeremy Hoffman and Kris Rood.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 3-5 pm at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. His funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm.
