Obituary of Joyce H. Pike

Joyce H. (Jody) Pike, 96, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. She was born in Canandaigua, NY on May 11, 1929, the daughter of George Emerson Haynes and Anna (Wooster) Haynes. Joyce received her BFA from Syracuse University and OTR from Richmond University. On June 18, 1955, she married Alan W. Pike in Newtown, PA. She and Allen lived in the suburbs of Syracuse for many years. Joyce was an Occupational Therapist for over 20 years. She was an Artist-Painter & Potter. She was a member of Society of Friends (Quakers), Lock 24 Artists, and Syracuse Ceramics Guild. Joyce was involved in many activities with Society of Friends, along with many social causes including Friends Against Death Penalty and League of Women Voters. She is survived by a son, Charles Alan Pike (Jonna) of Plano, TX; two daughters, Anne Pike Imperial (Dave) of Houston, TX and Abby Jeanne Corey of Penn Yan, NY; six grandchildren, Eli, Tavious, and Cassandra Imperial, Ben, Hannah, and Josh Corey; great granddaughter, Margot May McCumber; two nieces, Wendy and Nancy; and nephew, Robert.She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Alan W. Pike; and sister, Jeanne Thomas Williams. A Memorial Service will be held at Syracuse Friends Meeting at a later date. Contributions may be made in her memory to Syracuse Friends, P.O.
