It is with tears and laughter as I remember the kind heart and sense of humor of my friend, Luke.

I visited him over the years and was treated to many a boat ride to fish and he indulged me with a swim in

Keuka Lake. After I would clean house for his Mom, he and I would have peanut butter sandwiches and oh yeah, maybe a beer.

Once a bunch of us skipped class and stupidly sat on his front porch as the driver's ed class did their thing. He and I were in

Mr. Durkee's office the next day. Two years ago I returned to PY and he was there at the dinner to give hugs and receive them.
