Obituary of Arne Christensen

Arne Christensen, 94, of Penn Yan, passed away at home surrounded by his family on January 25, 2020.
Arne was born August 21, 1925 to Paul and Agnes (Jepsen) Christiansen. He was a dairy farmer his entire life. He served his country in the Army during WWII.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice of 73 years. His children, Gary Christensen of Penn Yan, Kathy (Garry) Whitney of New Mexico, Dale (Tina) Christensen of Penn Yan and Grete (Jim Emerson) Christensen of Penn Yan. His beloved grandchildren: Adam (Sarah) Christensen, Shelly (Rick) Cronk of Penn Yan, Robert Eden of New Mexico, Hannah and Andrew Christensen, Sean, Benjamin and Griffin Emerson, all of Penn Yan; his great grandchildren, Keegan and Kira Christensen. Arne's brothers: Ralph (Pam) Christiansen, James (Dorothy) Christiansen, and Dave (Micki) Christiansen; his sister-in-law, Grace Nussbaumer; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased his parents, and siblings: Anton, Else, John, Lillian, Vera, June, and Harold.
The family will honor Arne's wishes of no calling hours or funeral services. Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, Penn Yan.
