Obituary of Nancy M. Wager

Nancy (Derrenbacher) Wager, age 83, of Penn Yan, NY passed away Tuesday, March 19th, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Nancy was born in Dansville, NY on March 20th, 1940, the daughter of the late, Conrad and Ellen Derrenbacher. She was also predeceased by her siblings Delores, Marlyn, Marion, and Gordon.

She graduated from Dansville High School and married Edward A. Wager in Dansville on October 8, 1960. Nancy had many occupations and loved her crafting business. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Penn Yan and loved participating in the Silver Sneaker program at the Geneva YMCA. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Edward; sons, Michael, Thomas and Jerry; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 8, 2024 at 10am at St. Michael's Church, Liberty St., Penn Yan, NY.   A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
