My Father told me that Mrs. Havens had passed away. I have many good memories of her and Mr. Havens. Both were very nice people and always happy to see you… My Father relayed to me that she and George were the nicest people and that Bertha’s Mom and a friend wallpapered our old home on Collins Ave back in the 60’s when my parents first moved to Penn Yan. Growing up I would go down to their house looking for David to go get in some sort of trouble and they would invite me in even if David was not home….I always appreciated that Mr. Havens would say hello to me every time I would see him at the high school. I can still picture Mrs. Haven driving the bus every day as I walked home from school.
