Anne Z. Gascoigne, age 102, of Penn Yan, NY passed away on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home.
Anne was born in Geneva, NY on May 17th, 1919, the daughter of the late, Charles and Lena (Bowen) Ouimette. She worked for Sharon Optical in Geneva and for the Seneca Army Depot during WWII. Following the war she was employed at Sampson Naval Base, then at the CanandaiguaVA Hospital and at the NYS Rent Control Office in Geneva.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Gascoigne on May 10th, 1988; and her cousins, Marjorie Ferguson and Robert Bowen. Anne is survived by a distant cousins and many wonderful and supportive friends.
At Anne's request there will be no prior calling hours or service. A private interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Yates County, PO Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
