Obituary of Helen L. Conrad

Helen L. Conrad, age 94, passed peacefully on March 1st, 2022 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Helen was born in Reading Center, NY on February 6th, 1928 to Burres and Alta (Ryder) Campbell. She married William L. Conrad on August 9th, 1947. They owned and operated the Penn Yan Western Auto. Helen is survived by her children, Susan Lopez of Seneca Falls, Sharon (Jens) Jensen of Bartow, FL and Robert (Barbara) Conrad of Geneva; grandchildren, Christopher Chimera, John (Lynn) Chimera, Ryan Jensen, Kathleen (Tara Gershuny) Andersen, William Jensen, and Emily (Karl) VanEpps; great grandchildren, Colin, Mason and Logan Chimera, Jayden, Andrew, Joseph, and Ethan Jensen, Connor Andersen, Brendan Hawley-Jensen, Gabriella Wilbert-Jensen, and Eden Gershuny; sisters, Shirley Jock and Neva (Harold) DeWitt; and sister-in-law, Virginia Conrad. In addition to her parents, Burres and Alta (Ryder) Campbell, Helen was predeceased by her husband, William L. Conrad; siblings, Eleanor (William) Shaw, Howard (Shirley) Campbell, Isabell McFall, and Bruce Campbell; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Louis) Angelo; brothers-in-law, Harold Conrad and James Jock; and son-in-law, Edward Lopez. According to her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or service. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan will be at the convenience of her family.
