Obituary of Harriet M. Bennitt

Harriet M. Bennitt, age 95, of Pulteney, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 at the Taylor Health Center in Bath, NY. Calling hours will be held from 1pm- 2pm on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Grace Community Fellowship Church, 9192 County Road 74, Pulteney, NY 14874. Her funeral service will follow the calling hours with Pastor William Goodrich. There will be a potluck dinner at the church following the service. The Burial will be at the Glenview Cemetery in Pulteney at the convenience of the family. Harriet was born in the Town of Tyrone, NY on February 23rd, 1927, the daughter of the late, Daniel E. and Gertrude (Perry) Soles. She was a long-time member of the Grace Community Fellowship Church in Pulteney. Harriet enjoyed being with her church family along with reading and walking. She is survived by her grandchildren, AJ (Danielle) Bennitt and Heidi Rusch; daughter in law, Pat Bennitt; step grandchildren, Scott and Carol; great grandchildren, Elysia (Steve) Robbins Brue, Haley Robbins, Eli Robbins, Kortney (Cory) Winstanley, Corey Wills and Daniel Wills; and great great grandchild, Aloy Winstanley. In addition to her parents, Harriet was predeceased by her husband, William Bennitt; daughter, Eleanor “Ellie” (Henry Howell) Glenn Jr.; son, Alfred C. Bennitt; daughter in law, Connie M. Bennitt; brother, Daniel (Cora) Soles; sisters, Eleanor Turner and Pauline (Alan) Howell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulteney Ambulance or to the Grace Community Church.
