J. Edgar Emerson Jr., age 76, of Keuka Park, NY passed away and went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at FF Thomspon Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.
Ed was born in Penn Yan, NY on June 28th , 1945, the son of the late, J. Edgar and Hazel (Wentworth) Emerson Sr. Ed was a corrections officer for the Yates County Sheriff's Office, and retired as a Sgt. He enjoyed working his farm and loved caring for his cows and animals.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Anita L. (McDaniels), children, Mark Emerson, Dawn (Jonathan) Hasse, Diane (Steven) Dodson, Charles Emerson, and Keith Emerson; grandchildren, Joshua Hasse and Brady, Adelyn, Joy, and Nathan Emerson; sisters, Marilyn (Joel) Whitmire and Elaine (Wes) Nesbit; sister in law, Anna McDaniels; and brother in law, Kenneth McDaniels.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with interment at Italy Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ed's memory to the charity of one's choice. Memories of Ed maybe shared with his family and friends at townsendwoodzinger.com
