Condolences
Bob served his country in the Navy, and was well respected in business, insurance and real estate, His public service and volunteerism on the ambulance corps was community service above and beyond. I worked with him for years on the county legislature especially with public safety matters. He was always good counsel and took his responsibilities with due diligence for the tax payers. A great guy who lived a long and well lived life, A good friend.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I missed him at St John's for a couple of weeks and was saddened to have his friends from Ashton Place come to church without him, and tell me that he was not feeling well. Bob was a very special man, always giving me a smile when we chatted. We will miss him at St. John's, Clifton Springs..
Bob was a close friend over many years beginning with our time together on the County Legislature where we both worked to limit government and save taxpayer money. After his time on the Legislature, he worked for the county for many years on insurance issues. I remember he was instrumental in getting John Busch to agree to pastor Lake Keuka Community Baptist Church, where I still attend. When we were neighbors on North Main Street, I remember the way he kept his lawn in pristine condition at all times. I admired him for dedicating his life at age 90 or so to caring for Barb at home during her long illness. Later, it was a delight to visit him from time to time at Ashton Place, even to take him down the street for lunch. We got him to join the Legion when we told him he could get a $500 discount on a new Buick by being a member. He was proud of his service in the US Navy, and for many years served our American Legion Post #355 as a Trustee of the Building Corp., which manages the Post's investments. Bob was a close friend for many years, and I will miss him. My sympathy goes out to Susan and Carol. Your Dad really cared about Penn Yan and served our community in so many ways from the ambulance corps to County government and the American Legion.
