Obituary of Shirley L. Lewis

Shirley L. Lewis, age 93, of Penn Yan, NY passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the Homestead Nursing Home in Penn Yan.
Shirley was born in Canandaigua, NY on February 7, 1929, the daughter of the late, Roy and Edith Copper Lindenmuth. While residing in Alaska, Shirley was an active foster parent to many children. She had worked for Kodak in Rochester for many years.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Richmond R. Lewis; sons, James R. (Judy) and Rick Lewis; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Sullivan Lindenmuth; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her daughter, Jacqueline Bender and brothers, Donald and Gordy Lindenmuth.
Friends and family may call from 10 am to 12 noon on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Townsend Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527. Her funeral will follow at Noon and interment will be at 2pm at Rural Cemetery in West Bloomfield, NY. Memories of Shirley may be shared with her family and friends at townsendwoodzinger.com
