I was lucky enough to have worked with Daryn for the past 5 years until she retired from the department just a few short months ago. We had cancer in common. When I was diagnosed in 2017 with breast cancer she was my biggest support after surgery and during treatment. When Daryn got cancer again I was so sad. We were each other’s support. We were able to laugh about life and both of us knew how fragile it is. She was such a warrior. Still working during treatment and not feeling well. I’m grateful for knowing her and will truly miss her.
