Obituary of Sarah Baubie

Sarah (Hewitt) Baubie, age 84, of Penn Yan, NY formerly of Western, NY passed away in Penn Yan, NY on Monday, December 21st, 2020. Sarah was a graduate of Medina High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Sarah was a homemaker, although she had held different part time jobs over the years. She loved to make meals, bake and crochet blankets for her family and to visit family, friends and neighbors. Sarah loved to travel and had traveled to almost all of the states in the U.S. She also loved to read, play cards, laugh, and go for rides in the car. She was a member of the Alabama United Methodist Church. Sarah is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Gordon Baubie; daughter, Denise Koehler of Dundee, NY; son, David (Sheri) Baubie of Houston, TX; daughter-in-law, Lorie Baubie of Basom, NY; ten grandchildren, Steven, Jeffrey, Brian (Ashley) and Michael Koehler, Cassandra (Shawn) O'Malley, Matthew Baubie, Victoria (Andrew) Kidwilder, Jonathan Baubie, Brandee and Brandon; two great grandchildren, Emmerich and Dominik; step-brother, Pete; step-sister, Donna; brother-in-law, LaVerne; sister-in-law, Beverly; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in life by her son, Douglas; son-in-law, James; parents, Thomas and Doris; step mother, Mary; sister, Jeanette; brother, Thomas; and niece, Barbara. A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made in Sarah's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E.
