Evelyn “Tillie” J. Gray, Aldrich, Frederiksen, age 95, of Burdett, NY passed away Thursday, April 1st, 2021 following a short illness. The angels carried her home to be with Christ. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Millport, NY. Tillie was born to Leland and Grace Button Gray on February 1st, 1926 in Penn Yan, NY. She had worked at Corning Glass in accounts payable and then later she owned the Four Seasons Gifts in Watkins Glen, NY until 1973.
There are no words that can express all the talents she excelled at, sewing is what comes to mind as she was always making rugs, quilts, toys for Seneca Santa. Her daughter Cindy would get up in the morning for school to find a new outfit to wear that day. Her character was quiet, she never made noise but always observing and never far from a sewing machine. She lived a Rich and Full Christian Life. She would go without to make sure someone else had. She was priceless and loved by all whom she knew. Always being the glue that kept us all together. Now her time has come to rest. Fly High. Love your entire family.
Tillie was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Aldrich in 1972, second husband, Albert Frederiksen in 2007, son Harold Aldrich in 1990, son Terry Aldrich 2019, granddaughter Pam Aldrich in 2011, grandson Forrest Leland Aldrich in 2002, and sister Pauline E. Franklin in 2004. She is survived by her daughter and best friend Cindy and son in law Bob Lovell of Burdett, grandchildren Lisa Cattone of Genneco, NY, Lori Aldrich and Michael McGlamry of FL, Matthew Aldrich of FL, Daniel and Della Haselman-Masin of NJ, Tammy and Scott Keith of CT, Heather and Doyle Waters of Bradford, Tracey Masin and Anthony Battilana of Buffalo, Jessica West of TN, Aaron Aldrich of TN, Grace Aldrich of FL, and Christy Aldrich of NH; step grandchildren, Amy Pearson of FL, Ed and Deb Lovell of Watkins Glen, Roberta and Andy Makely of CO, and Ross and Jackie Lovell of Montour Falls; as well as many great and great great grandchildren and nephews.
