Obituary of Anthony J. Castelluzzo

Anthony John "Tony" Castelluzzo, 84, of Penn Yan, entered into rest with his heavenly Father peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 1, 2021 following an extended illness. Tony was born in Penn Yan on July 7, 1936 the son of John and Madeline (Owen) Castelluzzo. He attended St. Michael's School thru 8th grade, and graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1955. On November 11, 1967, he married Concetta (Connie) Fazzi in Queens Village, NY. Tony was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Penn Yan. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, wood worker and did custom picture framing. He was also a veteran of the US Army. Tony is survived by his wife of 53 years, Concetta (Connie) Castelluzzo; one daughter, Cara (Scott) Piper of Canandaigua; five sons, Michael (Katy Wheeler) of Branchport, David (Tammy Steppe) of Rhode Island, Andrew (Kim) of Penn Yan, Paul (Lisa) of Camden and Anthony (Stacey) of Farmington; and proud papa to eight grandchildren, Carey Brasher, Gianna, Gabriela, and Genavieve Castelluzzo, Tony and Nora Piper, Carter and Claire Castelluzzo. He was predeceased by his parents and his former wife, June Hatmaker. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 5-7 pm at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Michael's Church, 312 Liberty St., Penn Yan. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tony's memory to St. Michael's School, 210 Keuka St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.
