Condolences
To the family of the Perry's, so sorry for your loss. I remember when they had a cottage on the lake, Christine Perry would invite me to come out enjoy supper an fun on the boat. I always felt welcome there. Memories will help the family through these heart felt days.
When I was between 10 and 12 my mother had long stays on the 1st floor of S&S. Bonnie was a neighbor and friend from Benton and she would often pause to get me smile on my walk to and from The Peppermint Parlor. I always loved her frankness. And that’s just one story.
Bonnie was a true friend. She truly cared about you. She was gruff and didn’t mince words whether talking to a friend or patient. We stayed in touch even after she retired. We had a few things that happened in our lives that seemed to make us closer friends. I will miss her.
We were neighbors for quite a few years. I used to babysit Christine and Kelly before there was a Matt, Mark and Colleen. One year my brother and a friend stole some pumpkins out of Bonnie's garden and put them on neighboring porches. Bonnie caught them and made them go get every pumpkin back. Yesrs later, my daughter and Colleen became best friends. She,very quickly, became another daughter to me. It's very comforting to know that Bonnie and Colleen are together again. My deepest sympathy to her family.
Bonnie could be gruff. She didn't mince words. She was the friend you could call after not talking for a year and pick up like you spoke yesterday. She was the nurse I would want to take care of me or my family. Bonnie endured unimaginable grief and heartache time and again over the past several years. Once again, life isn't fair. Rest in peace, Bonnie. I'll miss you.
