Condolences
My deepest condolences to Linda and Laura. I worked with Don for many, many years at Syracuse University(sometimes I even worked in HIS lab too) He was COMPLETELY devoted to his lab, students, Ham radio ,and of course (and most importantly) his family. I remember many deliveries of baked goods from his "midnight baking company". He was just the sweetest person ever. My thoughts and prayers are with his family..
Linda & Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I worked with Linda at Dick's Sporting Goods and I remember Don & Laura would come into the store. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to learn of Don's passing—he was a wonderful member of the SU Engineering family!
Full of humor and good will—he blessed so many undergraduates , faculty and staff during his long tenure at Syracuse University. He was full of life and joy and we all have wonderful memories of his help and goodness. His wonderful daughter carried on his tradition—we will dearly miss the Shaw family!
Much love,
Sam Clemence

I am so sorry to learn that Don has passed away. My support, sympathy and prayers are with Don's family and friends. He was one of the first individuals I met when I started working in the College of Engineering years ago, He taught me so much about engineering and provided me with a foundation that has served me well all these years later. I will always remember his passion for engineering and his incredibly positive impact on students in the lab. I am sure many give Don credit for their success in the world. Rest in Peace, Don.
