Mass of Christian Burial
Condolences
My condolences to the Barnes Family. What a great lady she was. I've enjoyed her occasional comments over the past year, while watching St. Mike's Sunday Mass on Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Community FB Page.
Some fond memories of delivering the newspaper to their two different houses on Clinton Street back in the day – The Geneva Times and The Democrat & Chronicle. Talk about getting mobbed by a bunch of Barnes Kids on collection day. It didn't take much to get that gang excited :) What a great family!
George and the whole gang: My sincere sympathy and prayers for you all on the death of Bev. I missed the news up north here at Port Bay Lake Ontario reading the Chronicle here today. My memories of her bring laughter to me at once. What a gift she was to the parish in my rookie days as pastor there for 12 years. May she be at peace and remember all she taught you. She will be ready to welcome you in Glory, but not too soon as the Irish say. Fr. Bill Michatek
So sorry to hear of Bev’s passing. She was a wonderful person. Thinking of her and her family.
Sending prayers and condolences to you all may she rest in peace. Michael Carmel Jr
Thinking of you all today. May the memories of a life well lived help you through these difficult days. Sending hugs and our condolences with love, from your Canadian family. xoxo
What a wonderful photo of Aunt Bev. It depicts her very spirit. It was evident how much she adored her family and her joy for the simple things in life. Her love of God was ever present. Thinking of you all so much. Sending a big loving hug. She will inspire us always.
Our condolences to George and this wonderful family. Beverley will be in our thoughts and prayers as will you all. We will miss the many texts through the years always highlighting her children and grandchildren and her great-children, along with the funny little cartoons she loved to share. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure!
I got to know Bev during yoga classes we took at the Baptist Church years ago. I can still see her in a pose, or out riding her bike! Full of fun and love! Wonderful family❤️
Oh my gracious, my heart weeps with you all, however oh the memories I have and I know you have way more than I do. I hope I will continue to hear her laugh, I will always remember the quick phone calls for “help “ baby on the way I believe she has blessed hundreds of people and children as I know she has blessed me. She was one of a kind and a true treasure. Love to “all “ my children.
I am heart broken to read this. I worked with Bev at National Bank of Geneva. She was one of the funniest ladies I’ve ever worked with. And so kind. And those glasses resting on her nose and riding her bike. The list goes on and on. I’m so blessed my path crossed with hers. Hugs and prayers to her family
