Condolences! Mr. Schiek was a great teacher. Working with him building stage sets transferred to life and the ability to try things and with hard work you can create anything for yourself. Sad to hear of his passing.

I was so surprised to learn of Dave's passing. As a kid I always looked up to him and respected him tremendously. He was so smart and I learned many things just by watching him. I will miss his maple syrup.

You have my deepest respect and condolences.

Dave was such an amazing human. We shared many laughs backstage at PYA and I always loved seeing him at the Regional Market or the State Fair with the maple syrup. He was the real deal - always there for students, his friends, and his community. I'm so sorry for the loss of this great human.

I have such fond memories of the Schiek family, their chickens, peaches and maple syrup. I babysat for David, Penny and Ron in the sixties. Never kept directly in touch but followed the family some through my family who continued to live on Johnson Rd. I know David was proud of his career at PYA. Sorry to hear this news.
