A good heart has stopped beating, a great soul has gone to heaven. Rest In Peace, dear Bob...these are probably the first words I’ve ever written that you might consider worth listening to! You were larger than life and I shall always be grateful for your guidance, your leadership, and your strong, yet compassionate, persona. Thank you for the many wonderful years you gave promoting excellence in the Dundee Elementary School and for being such a positive role model in all of your educational adventures.

To Margy and kids: While I grieve his passing, I feel confident that his legacy will live on throughout the accomplishments of his students and staff. We were all blessed to have known him. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and know that I wished I could have attended his services if it were possible. Love to you all, Nancy

A more wonderful man you will never meet. My heart goes out to the DelBono family. You were so lucky to have DB as your husband, father, grandfather, as well as a friend to all. He was a mentor to me when I became High School Principal in Dundee. You could tell he was "up to something" when he came down the hall with that twinkle in his eye! He and I did a home visit once ( he told me I needed to see where my students lived). The home had dirt floors, but he willingly sat down in the family's kitchen. When he stood up to leave, I noticed he had sat in what appeared to be grape jelly. I waited until we were outside to tell him, which resulted in a good laugh! He touched the lives of so many people, and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

So sorry for the family , he was one of the greatest Principals I have ever know while attending Dundee Central School. I remember in my younger grades and my father worked at Seneca Foods he would buy cases of juice from my Dad and we would dropp them off at his house. Just a great many.

I'm so sorry for the Delbono family's loss. Bob was one of a kind -- a loyal friend, incredible family man, and such a funny guy. So many great memories! My thoughts are with you all at this time. Please don't hesitate to ask for help should there be anything I can do. Much love to you.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Delbono's passing. He was a wonderful caring man who made a huge impact on many lives. He was so wonderful to my son as well as being my principal when I was in school. May you Rest In Peace Mr. D. You will be missed by many.
