Condolences
I was entering my Junior year at PYA when I first met John at a weightlifting club at the old Hutton Street School that he supervised. I learned quickly that he clearly loved working with young people. He was always available to coach and offer advice to everyone. I still have a trophy he awarded me and I think of him whenever I look at it. Throughout the years I had many conversations with John that were very influential in my life. John was a huge asset to the Penn Yan School District and community. He will be missed not only by family but many others as well. Prayers to his family...

I met John some years ago at the YCRR (Yates County Recreation Resources) gym on North Ave. I was trying to get back into shape and John gave me some pointers that helped me.
John and I became friends and on Thursdays we would discuss politics, religion and many other topics over lunch at the Wagners. After a few years, I stopped going to the YCRR because of work and have missed seeing John since.
It's very sad for me that John has passed on and I won't be able to see him again. I also feel sad for John's wife, Mary. I hope Mary is comforted by the many people who knew and loved John.
Rest in Peace John Lambrosa.
Sincerely,
Phil Perry

Mr. Lambrosa was one of my favorite teachers. Part of the fun of having him for a teacher was to go and see what his color was that day. He always coordinated the eyeglass cord for his glasses with his tie and the pen in his pocket. My favorites were the pink and turquoise. When I was his student, he always made me feel at ease no matter what subject we were discussing. A one of a kind man who touched so many different parts of the PY Community. He will always have a special place in my heart.
Mr. Lambrosa was one of my favorite teachers at PYA. He was always interested in our sports teams, and I appreciated his support of the track team. Such a nice man with a kind spirit. Godspeed, Mr. Lambrosa.
Mr. Lambrosa was one of a kind! A great man who will be missed by many... Thank you for your leadership and memories as a teacher and friend. May you RIP.
Loved the talks we had at PYA
