Where do I begin......
Mrs. Worth always smiling and and teaching this 5th grader to do your best. The fond memories I have of Mrs. Worth ranges from our school projects of teaching us how to manage money by several class field trips to Loblaws, currently Tops in Penn Yan to get everything on her grocery list with the exact amount of money she sent us with. Teaching us to respect others and then rewarding us with the afternoon picnics and ball games in her back yard at her home on Elm Street. I considered myself very fortunate to have been able to know Mrs. Worth and to have her as a teacher. As a friend and class mate of Jamey I was lucky enough to get to see Mrs. Worth after 5th grade, hanging out at the house after school our senior year.
I never called her Evie, she was always Mrs. Worth to me. Even later in life attending morning Mass with Mrs.Worth then our coffee club afterwards at McDonalds with Father Jack.
I will always remember her smile and the kindness she always shared.
To the Worth Family, my condolences to all of you and Thank You for sharing your mother with so many of us.
